  • Go Wild Forest School Approved Provider | Karin Jashapara | Play of Light Theatre

Karin Jashapara ~ Play of Light Theatre ~ SM7 3BA

I run year-round forest school sessions for 1 - 11 year-olds, inspired by the seasons in the wetland where I work, and festivals, such as May Day and Santa Lucia. Stories have always been a big part of my work; I tell stories in the woodland, and my students of course love storymaking too. Although I still make shadow puppets from time to time - having done this for 30 years it is hard to stop completely - making in 3D with natural materials, leading forest school and writing are now what I do most.

  • Go Wild Approved Provider | Stacey Marsh | Little Acres

    Stacey Marsh ~ Little Acres Farm ~ TA23 0LG

Located on Brendon Hills in Exmoor, this is a completely off-grid, family run farm. We have put all the forest skills taught into practice in everything we do on the farm. By going back to basics, using hand tools, using various knots, making structures by hand. Including looking for flora and fauna on the land and wildlife, getting communities involved to help make bug houses, hibernaculas, to teach the importance about not disrupting the biodiversity. As well as teaching the importance of child-led involvement. It just goes to show that a Forest School Level 3 really can lead you to doing anything.
