Tintern parent & toddler forest school group
What: a new weekly gathering of parents & their toddlers for a romp in the woods. Expect mud (lots of it), adventures, sticks, risky play, exploring and even campfires.
Drink and snacks provided for both toddlers and adults.
Where: a beautiful woodland setting in the Wye Valley Sculpture Gardens, Tintern, NP16 7NX
When: Every Monday morning during term time, from 10am until 12pm
Who can come: children of pre-school age who are able to walk unassisted. Each child must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Maximum two children per adult for safety reasons.
Who we are: The sessions are run by Nicola and Jackie, both very experienced, professional forest school leaders. Nic already runs woodland sessions for toddlers in Bristol and Jackie is the founder of Go Wild. Both are Level 3 qualified forest school leaders as well as qualified teachers, with all the necessary DBS checks, first aid qualifications and insurances.
How: We ask you to book in blocks of 4 sessions (just as you would with something like baby sensory) so that we are able to plan each session effectively. You can also book a one-off taster session subject to spaces being available. The group numbers are kept small to allow for maximum interaction and meaningful enjoyment of the woods so booking is essential.
Price: £34 per child for 4 sessions (£8.50 per session)
Taster session £10 per child.
Dates: (all during term time for both Wales and Gloucestershire)
June: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and
July 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd
