The Old Summer House

Come and stay in the beautiful Wye Valley in the tiny village of Brockweir. On the banks of the River Wye, there are long walks from the doorstep and a cosy village pub less than a minute away.

The Accommodation

A cosy cabin nestled in the garden of Quay House, Brockweir, with views down to the river Wye and the beautiful woodland beyond. Snuggle up by the woodburner and look out towards the river. With long country walks stright from the door, it’s the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside. Or sit out on the decking and enjoy a glass of something local whilst listening to the birds.

  • Hot water, shower and toilet

  • Cobb Oven BBQ

  • Decking with outdoor table and seating

  • Comfy sofa

  • On-site parking

  • Double bed with linen bedsheets

  • Wood burning stove

  • Central heating

  • Kitchenette with one ring halogen hotplate and cooking utensils

  • Fridge

Please note that this space is not suitable for children. Due to having pets, livestock and children, dogs are not allowed. There is no wifi available and mobile phone signal is limited (although often ok outside the cabin). We think it’s a perfect opportunity to get away from it all.

The small village of Brockweir nestles on the banks of the river Wye, the border between England and Wales, and is a beautiful place to spend a long weekend or a week away. With a country pub (currenly closed for refurbishment), a village shop and cafe and endless walks, you’ll find plenty to enjoy in this ancient village. Within easy reach of Tintern and its amenities (more pubs, a brewery and a vineyard), it’s the perfect place to stay.
